CB – Phil Jones (6.5) – Largely commanding from Jones until he limped off in the second half, but one glaring error allowed in Haris Seferovic for a gilt-edged first half opportunity.
LB – Leighton Baines (6.5) – Quiet from the usually marauding Everton left back, solid at the back but anonymous in attack.
DCM – Jack Wilshere (5.5) – Perhaps the biggest frustration for Hodgson will be the performance of Wilshere, who didn’t have enough influence playing as a deep playmaker.
