CAM – Wayne Rooney
All the talk has been about Rooney and his poor performances in the World Cup, but let’s not forget the Manchester United forward provided a great assist against the Italians and is still the country’s best player.
LM – Adam Lallana
England’s left side was their weak spot at the weekend and it was exposed constantly, which is why we expect Southampton captain Lallana to get the nod ahead of Danny Welbeck.
ST – Daniel Sturridge
Like Sterling his Reds teammate came out of the last match with plenty of credit, after getting onto the end of a fine Rooney cross to score the equaliser and Sturridge will be looking to show more of the same.
