CDM – Jack Wilshere
Both Roy Hodgson and Arsene Wenger are keen for Wilshere to take up a defensive midfield role and this could another opportunity for the 22-year-old to test himself there.
CM – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
It’s a toss up between whether Hodgson will opt for a diamond or the more traditional 4-4-2, but we have gone for the former with Oxlade-Chamberlain in place of Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana.
CM – Jordan Henderson
Has been billed by many as the natural successor to Steven Gerrard for club and country and although they are big boots to fill, Henderson is doing a good job so far.
CAM – Raheem Sterling
Although Sterling hasn’t been as electric in attack as we have become used to in recent times, the 19-year-old is still the most exciting player the English have.
