England manager Roy Hodgson can only select 23 players to fly to Brazil for the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Fortunately, we’ve done the hard work for him.
England confirmed their place in the finals of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil next year with a fine 2-0 victory against Poland at Wembley.
Talk now switches to who wins a place on the plane next summer, and to help Roy Hodgson – and for you to rate and slate at your will- fanatix has come up with our selection.
1. Joe Hart
Manchester City’s Joe Hart is first choice for England by default, as he is the first choice goalkeeper for a top Premier League side – unlike any other Englishman. If complacency explains his recent error-prone performances, it is down to the rest of the country’s custodians to step up.
Similarly, Hart must prove his own ability once again to a dubious nation – and cut out the tragicomedy element to his present game.
