16. Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has an advantage over many of his peers.
The Arsenal star suffered a knee injury against Aston Villa on the opening day of the season in which everything went wrong for the Gunners, but could return by the beginning of December.
That absence could mean that the versatile 20 year-old is fresher for the crunch period of the season – and as a direct result, the World Cup finals in June 2014.
Apart from that, the Arsenal winger has much to prove. The hype surrounding Oxlade-Chamberlain is far from the hysterical level of that surrounding his fellow Southampton graduate Theo Walcott in 2006, but raising expectations ought to be a target for ‘the Ox.’
