Celtic’s Fraser Forster likely to be given a chance in net.
England boss Roy Hodgson has confirmed Joe Hart will not start for England in Friday’s friendly with Chile.
The 26-year-old has been relegated to the bench by Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini of late after a series of high-profile mistakes.
But Hodgson has continued to publicly back his number one and confirmed before today that Celtic’s Fraser Forster would be given a chance against either Chile or Germany.
Evidently, the Three Lions’ boss has decided Forster will start against the Chileans but expect to see Hart restored to the line-up for Tuesday’s match against Joachim Loew’s talented side. If he’s not, then alarming bells will start ringing but for now, there is no reason for the City stopper to fear for his spot as England’s first choice ‘keeper.
