Ryder’s management is looking at a breach of contract clause, report The Age.
Bombers star Paddy Ryder may quit the club at the end of the season with his management looking to use a breach of contract clause that would allow him to leave the club as a delisted free agent, report The Age
The 26-year-old is signed to Essendon until the end of the 2016 season, however his management are reportedly optimistic Ryder could walk away from the club mid-contract because the club had seriously breached its duty of care to him through the supplements scandal.
Essendon are still under investigation from the Victorian WorkCover Authority for possible health and safety breaches during the 2011 program.
The club could lose Ryder for nothing should he prove Essendon breached its duty of care to him
The Age report that Ryder’s preferred destination is the Brisbane Lions.
