Martinez still interested in Eto’o.

Everton could move for former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o on a free transfer, report the Express, after Liverpool abandoned their move for the Cameroon international as their deal for Mario Balotelli edges closer.
Manager Roberto Martinez is keen to add additional striking cover, with record signing Romelu Lukaku having been forced to play through the pain barrier in the weekend 2-2 draw with Arsenal due to a minor toe injury.
With Arouna Kone still sidelined with a broken leg, and both Steven Naismith and Kevin Mirallas more comfortable in deeper positions, the report suggests that Martinez is lining up a move for either Eto’o or Manchester United star Danny Welbeck – but the fact that a transfer fee wouldn’t be involved may make the Cameroonian more likely.
