Toffees one of several Premier League clubs interested in wantaway Manchester City midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim.
Everton have joined the growing list of top-flight clubs interested in swooping midfielder Abdisalam Ibrahim from Premier League rivals Manchester City.
The Norwegian Under-21 international, who has one year left on his contract at City, has told the club that he wants to leave to find more first-team opportunities.
Ibrahim spent last season on loan at Norwegian outfit Stromsgodset, with the Daily Star understanding that Everton are one of six Premier League clubs now interested in the player.
The midfielder has been at City for over six years after joining their academy in 2007, where he was part of the FA Youth Cup winning side the following season.
However, the 22-year-old, who has been likened to both Patrick Vieira and Yaya Toure due to his physique and style of play, has had opportunities limited at the Etihad having made just three first team appearances.
Earlier this week, newly promoted sides Crystal Palace and Hull City both joined the growing list of clubs interested in the 22-year-old, although it’s understood that they would be more interested in a season-long loan.
Arsenal have also been reportedly interested, with Ibrahim telling Sky Sports News last month that a move to the Emirates would be a “dream come true”.
