Samuel Eto’o is also believed to be a transfer target for Sampdoria, but Martinez says none of his first team players will be leaving Goodison Park this month.
“I’m not entertaining the speculation of big sales,” the Spaniard said.
“We are not going to sell our big assets at the club during the January window.
“So all of those stories, admirations or efforts from outside is just a waste of time.”
The Citizens are keeping tabs on Barkley due to both his impressive form for the Toffees and the fact he would help fill their homegrown quota.
Meanwhile their rivals United are considering a move for right-back Coleman with concerns over current options Rafale and Antonio Valencia.
