Spaniard will be desperate to get off to a positive beginning on Merseyside.
Roberto Martinez begins life as the new Everton head coach with a trip to take on Norwich City at Carrow Road on Saturday Aug 17.
The likeable Spaniard replaced previous Toffees boss David Moyes in the Goodison Park hot seat earlier this month and the former Wigan Athletic manager will be desperate to get off to a good start to life on Merseyside.
And Everton then face relatively easy-looking fixtures against West Bromwich Albion at Goodison in week two in what will be Martinez’s home debut, before he then takes the Merseysiders to newly promoted Cardiff City on Aug 31.
However, all Everton fans’ eyes will be firmly fixed on two fixtures in the new calendar, and those are on Nov 23 when city-rivals Liverpool make the short trip across Stanley Park for the first Merseyside derby of the 2013-14 campaign.
Meanwhile later on in the season, it will be the visit of former trainer Moyes that catches much imagination at Everton, with the Scot taking the champions Manchester United to Goodison on April 19.
