The Merseyside club have been struggling this campaign, and Rodgers’ side have been unable to produce the form that saw them finish second in the Premier League last season.
Marsh believes the Northern Irish manager is no longer the right man for the job, and criticised his summer signings; Mario Balotelli in particular coming under fire.
“The manager has lost his way,” he said.
“He might be a good coach, but a bad manager.
“The Balotelli signing is one of the most embarrassing signings in the history of the Premier League, and that is down to the manager. He [Balotelli] is a certainty to go in January.”
With Daniel Sturridge perpetually injured, and Balotelli, Fabio Borini, and Rickie Lambert struggling for form, Rodgers will surely have further business to do when the transfer window opens in January.
