The Sky Sports pundit is clearly not a popular choice in the social networking site.
Ahead of another night of Champions League football it’s not Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil that’s trending on Twitter, but Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp.
The former Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has received plenty of criticism from the Twitterati for the Englishman’s comments made before the Gunners’ clash with Borussia Dortmund.
apparantly jamie redknapp said mertesacker is our weakness. #howboutno

Someone really should build a rocket that can be used to shoot Jamie Redknapp into the sun.

Jamie Redknapp thought Eden Hazard played for Lyon. Good one Jamie. Van Basten, up front for Leyton Orient yeah? Do your homework.

Unfortunately for Redknapp since the punditry style of Gary Neville has become common place, simply pedalling out old clichés is no longer enough for fans.
The ex-England international’s name is now beginning to trend on the social networking site every time there’s a match on Sky Sports.
If Redknapp isn’t careful then the station may pull a BBC and axe the former pro like Alan Hansen was – good looks will only get you so far Jamie.
