Former Manchester United manager David Moyes could be set for a quick return to the Premier League after being linked by the Daily Mirror with the West Ham United job.
The Scot has been out of work since leaving Old Trafford in April, when he was sacked following a disastrous performance as United’s new manager to follow on from the recently-retired Sir Alex Ferguson.
The Red Devils eventually finished in 7th place in the Premier League, and moved to appoint Louis van Gaal as Moyes’ replacement this summer, but the former Everton boss now appears to be a candidate for West Ham as they consider Sam Allardyce’s future at the club.
The fans and owners of the east London outfit are unhappy with the style of football played under the former Blackburn Rovers boss and his future has been uncertain for some time now.
Although it remains to be seen if a decision to change managers is close, it is thought that the club are keeping Moyes in mind if they do decide to act.
