Former United defender keen on reunion with Mexican striker.Former Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic says he would welcome the idea of his old team-mate Javier Hernandez joining him at Inter Milan this summer, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian giants have been linked with a number of strikers in recent months as they seek to strengthen upfront this summer, with Hernandez believed to be up there with their main targets in that position.
The Mexican international has struggled to establish himself as a regular for United in recent times and could also be keen on a move to a new club, and it may be that he will become the latest member of the Old Trafford squad to move to Serie A.
Another long-serving defender in Patrice Evra recently made the move to Juventus, while Vidic hopes Hernandez joins him in signing for Inter.
“My former teammate Hernandez to Inter?” the Serbian said. “These are matters for the club’s management, but it is clear that Chicharito could go to any club and he would be welcomed with open arms.”
