Florida State is entering the college football playoff as the only undefeated team in the country, and they are coming off a national championship and have won 29 consecutive games.
The Seminoles have been able to remain a winning program following the retirement of Bobby Bowden, and Jimbo Fisher has coached Florida State to a 58-10 record in his stint while winning a national title in the 2013 season.
Florida State rewarded Fisher’s coaching performance by signing him to a contract extension that will last until 2022. His deal will pay him an average of $5.5 million per year.
He will look to lead the Seminoles to a repeat championship as they face Oregon in the Rose Bowl on Jan. 1.
