Paris Saint-Germain winger Ezequiel Lavezzi looks set to leave France after three seasons in Ligue 1.
According to the Metro, Tottenham Hotspur have been cleared to sign the Argentine international, who is also being pursed by Liverpool and Juventus.
Lavezzi is keen to move on to another club, as fellow Argentine international Angel Di Maria has signed with PSG from Manchester United for £44.3m.
Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettini is reportedly fond of the 30-year-old winger, as he would offer the team a solid scoring threat from the flank.
Tottenham are in desperate need of a forward, as superstar striker Harry Kane needs the pressure taken off of him after a stunning breakout season last term.
While the England international flourished, Spurs’ other attackers-Roberto Soldado, Emmanuel Adebayor and Erik Lamela-largely failed to ignite. It is a problem area that Pochettino needs to resolve this summer.
Lavezzi could certainly contribute offensively for the North London heavyweights, having bagged at least nine goals in each of his last three campaigns.
