Delph completed his medical with Man City on Friday, and he will be able to join the team as a result.
He initially rejected Man City’s offer, but he ultimately changed his mind and will move to the Etihad after saying he would stay at Aston Villa.
Despite leaving for greener pastures, Delph acknowledged his struggle with departing Villa.
“Leaving Aston Villa football club is the hardest decision I have ever had to make. I have had some amazing times and made great friends during my time at the club,” Delph said to Sky Sports.
The Citizens now have a dangerous midfield, as they also recently acquired Raheem Sterling from Liverpool for £49m.
Delph will be signing a five-year deal with Man City, who will seek to bounce back from a distant second-place finish behind Chelsea in the Premier League standings, as they hope to return to championship status.
Meanwhile, Aston Villa may struggle to avoid relegation as they are expected to also lose star striker Christian Benteke.
