The 29-year-old is currently with the Colombian national team at the Copa America, but Daily Star reports the former Atletico Madrid man has agreed to terms on a deal to join the Blues.
It is unlikely that Chelsea have secured Falcao on a permanent deal and will reportedly join the Premier League giants on a one-season loan.
Falcao spent a disappointing season on loan with Manchester United last term, scoring just four goals in 29 appearances for the Red Devils.
However, Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has publicly stated that he is keen to bring the Colombian back to the level that saw him become one of Europe’s most feared strikers during his time at Atletico Madrid and FC Porto.
It’s believed Falcao has taken a substantial pay cut from his current £265k-a-week deal with Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco, with the move set to be announced next week.
