The Wolves central defender enjoyed a long and successful England career that sees him recognised as one of the all time greats.
Wright was made captain of the side in 1948, two years after his debut, and held the role for the record-equaling 90 games.
The defender was the first footballer in the world to ever to reach 100 caps for his country and his England record was only broken by Bobby Charlton.
Wright is the fifth most capped played in England history.
