The man considered by many to be the greatest England player of all time is also the most capped defender in the country’s history.
Moore’s biggest international moment was captaining the Three Lions during their 1966 World Cup triumph – the only in the nation’s history.
Still revered and recognised as a true footballing legend 40 years after he retired from England duty, Moore was rewarded with a statue of himself outside the new Wembley Stadium.
