Spaniard has found it hard to settle to life in the capital.
FC Barcelona want to hand unsettled Chelsea front man Fernando Torres an escape route from Stamford Bridge this summer, but only as a substitute in Catalonia next season, says the Daily Mirror.
The misfiring Spain international has only been in west London for the past two-and-a-half campaigns now, having signed for the Blues from arch-rivals Liverpool for a British-record transfer fee of £50 million in Jan 2011.
However, it is fair to say that in the intervening period the 29-year-old has struggled badly for both form in front of goal and confidence, having hit the back of the net on only 34 occasions in his 131 matches in all competitions for the club.
That, though, has not put off the Liga champions from making a move to bring the attacker back to Spain when the transfer window opens on July 1, but Barca only see Torres as being an impact substitute at Camp Nou next season.
