Costa Rica or Greece will make history tonight.
One of the two nations will reach the quarter-finals of the FIFA World Cup for the first time in the tournament’s 84-year history.
Both nations have surpassed expectations by getting to the knockout phase of the competition.
Unbeaten Costa Rica finished top of Group D following shock wins over Uruguay and Italy, which were followed by a 0-0 draw with England.
Greece scraped through from Group C thanks to a last-minute penalty in a 2-1 win over Ivory Coast – a result that saw the 2004 European champions finish on four points with a goal difference of minus two.
Costa Rica will probably name the same team that started Tuesday’s draw England.
The Central Americans will line up with Fulham’s Bryan Ruiz (pictured) and Arsenal striker Joel Campbell in attack.
Campbell was loaned out to Olympiakos last season and the 22-year-old could come up against four of his old teammates – Kostas Manolas, Andreas Samaris, Giannis Maniatis and Jose Holebas.
