Team news for the first quarter-final at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Germany forward Miroslav Klose has been given a golden chance to make history in this evening’s World Cup quarter-final against France.
The 36-year-old Lazio frontman, who needs just one goal to become the all-time topscorer in FIFA World Cup history, starts for Germany in Rio.
Klose currently has 15 finals goals to his name, leaving him tied at the top with Brazil legend Ronaldo.
The Polish-born German’s goals have been spread across four World Cups, dating back to 2002.
Klose leads the German attack, with support from Mario Gotze, Thomas Muller and Mesut Ozil.
Mats Hummels replaces Per Mertesacker at centre-back, while Philipp Lahm drops into defence to allow Sami Khedira to slot into central midfield.
France have made two changes following their 2-0 win over Nigeria, with Arsenal duo Laurent Koscielny and Olivier Giroud dropping out to make way for Mamadou Sakho and Antoine Griezmann.
