Walcott Manchester United: Theo Walcott will miss Arsenal’s clash with Manchester United claims Arsene Wenger.
Arsene Wenger has been keeping tabs on the Hamburg midfielder, and views him as a player with the potential to fill the gap in Arsenal’s midfield.
The 24-year-old started his career as a striker, but moved further back and became an attacking midfielder at youth level. He is now a defensive midfielder however, meaning that not only is he technically excellent, he also possesses fantastic defensive instincts.
He is out of contract at the end of the season, so if Wenger wishes he could wait until the summer and get him for free. Arsenal’s needs are dire however, so he may look to get him on the cheap in January if he is available.
Arslan has played for both Turkey and Germany at different youth levels, but now looks to have settled on Germany as his national team.
