In direct contrast to the NFC Championship, the AFC Championship was a blowout as the New England Patriots easily defeated the Indianapolis Colts, 45-7, to advance to the Super Bowl – where they will face the Seattle Seahawks.
However, the Patriots may already be facing a distraction as Super Bowl 49 approaches. They are currently being investigated by the NFL for allegedly deflating balls during the AFC Championship.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady scoffed at the idea that the Patriots deflated balls, and head coach Bill Belichick denied these accusations. However, he said that he will cooperate with the investigation.
Around the NFL reported on Belichick’s reaction to this potential scandal on Twitter.
