Wayne Rooney’s punch up
Manchester United’s clash with Tottenham came just hours after a video had emerged of Rooney being knocked out by former teammate Phil Bardsley. The skipper responded with the first goal of the game, before throwing some air punches, and collapsing to the ground, in the process taking a lot of the heat out of the whole affair.
Robbie Fowler’s cocaine snorting
The Liverpool striker had been getting abuse from Everton fans throughout the Merseyside Derby in 1999, for apparently taking drugs. However, Fowler responded in the perfect manner, scoring twice and helping the Reds to a 3-2 win. He celebrated by heading for one of the white lines, and pretending to snort along the line.
