Manchester United have struggled since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, and these figures show that not all of their fans have stuck with them through the difficult times. The Red Devils have allegedly seen a 19% fall in their fan base, with many of those possibly switching to their noisy neighbours.
Arsenal also saw a dip in their support, but their 3% was infinitely less disappointing. Chelsea and Liverpool saw increases of 82% and 80%, but no one even came close to matching City’s colossal rise.
Are these fans just glory hunting? Or do the stats prove that the Citizens pre season tours and marketing have been a success?
