Salah officially refused to attend the first day of pre-season training with the Viola on Monday, and in turn it is set to spark the latest development in the on-going war between the club and player.
Fiorentina have already paid the €1m to extend his loan by 12 months, while they argue that his power to veto had expired as he missed the deadline.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by the Metro, the Serie A club haven now presented a new package to Chelsea in order to avoid FIFA arbitration and a potential ban for the Egyptian international.
It is reported that they want a different player on loan for €1m, as promised in the sale of Juan Cuadrado to the Premier League champions in January.
That player is 19-year-old England starlet Ruben Loftus-Cheek, with the midfielder receiving praise from boss Jose Mourinho previously and is certainly one for the future.
Meanwhile, the Viola also want a payment for ‘improving the value’ of Salah during his loan stint, while they want Inter to be banned from signing him given the ‘improper’ way that the Nerazzurri have become involved in the discussions.
