Again given the chance by Arsene Wenger to show what he can do, young Frenchman Yaya Sanogo was excellent in the first 45 minutes for Arsenal, running the channels well and holding the ball up.

He showed excellent strength and awareness to set up Ramsey for the second goal and is likely to have confirmed in Wenger’s mind that he poses a credible alternative threat to that of Olivier Giroud.
