It seems as though Basque side Athletic Bilbao are hoping to single-handedly take on Arsenal’s dead wood this summer, with left back Nacho Monreal also having been linked with a move to the San Mames.

Monreal has struggled to impress consistently since being signed by Arsene Wenger from Malaga in La Liga and, as with Arteta, he may be tempted to move him on if he can recoup some money to reinvest in a younger replacement.
