3) Lazar Markovic (Benfica)

With reports in the Daily Express suggesting that Chelsea have a £12m option to sign Benfica forward Lazar Markovic, the Blues could go back in for a player that they almost signed last summer.

Whilst Markovic often plays wide, he is an attacking player with the attributes and the versatility to play across the front line and offer a degree of cover for Costa whilst still operating elsewhere.

The Blues almost signed Markovic last summer, but the player was not keen on the move from Partizan Belgrade when he learned that Chelsea planned to loan him out.
