4) Arsenal (Two players, £47m)
Despite only signing two players, Arsenal have spent big again this summer after their sensational deadline day deal for Mesut Ozil last year. Alexis Sanchez has arrived for around £35m from Barcelona, with Mathieu Debuchy coming in at right-back to replace Bacary Sagna, joining from Newcastle United for around £8m.
Not known for spending vast amounts in the past, Arsenal have shown a significant change in approach in the last couple of years, and now look in good shape to challenge for trophies again after winning the FA Cup in 2013/14. Further signings could follow as well, if rumours are to be believed.
