1. The Baltimore Ravens will upset the New England Patriots and Joe Flacco will outplay Tom Brady again
The Patriots quarterback is widely known as the best signal caller in the NFL, and this is hard to argue since he has won three Super Bowls and put together another strong performance this season with 33 touchdown passes against nine interceptions. However, he has recently had difficulty beating the Baltimore Ravens. Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has been a primary reason for this. Flacco is one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL come playoff time, as demonstrated by his 10-4 record and 20 touchdown passes with two interceptions in his last nine games.
The Patriots are favored by seven points in this game, so a loss would be a major upset. The Ravens defeated the Patriots, 28-13, in the 2013 AFC Championship after beating them in the 2012 regular season though. Although they lost, 23-20, in the 2012 AFC Championship, Flacco outplayed Brady as the Patriots quarterback threw two interceptions with no touchdowns while Flacco threw two touchdowns with one interception. The Ravens defense has two strong pass rushers in Terrell Suggs and Elvis Dumervil that will be able to pressure Brady. They combined for 29 sacks in the regular season. It has often been said that the secret to stopping Brady is hitting him early and often, and the Ravens have the personnel to execute this properly.
