Another of the talented, young Germans that have emerged in the last few years and at 24-years-old Hummels is now recognised as one of the best defenders in Europe.
The centre-back is now in the seventh season at the Westfalenstadion after moving from Bayern Munich and the Bundesliga champions are now probably ruing that day.
If Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud are to be effective in the Dortmund area they will need to get past this extremely capable defensive rock.
