2. Aaron Lennon remains Patrice Evra’s nemesis
There is no player Patrice Evra hates facing more than Aaron Lennon. The Spurs winger has frequently terrorised Evra and, after giving the Frenchman a hard time in November’s 2-2 draw at White Hart Lane, Lennon once again got the better of the defender at Old Trafford, providing the assist for Spurs’ second. The United left back was twice caught out of position in the first half, allowing Lennon to cross dangerously before he was turned inside out by the Yorkshire man, whose cross should have been converted by Soldado. Lennon has been one of Spurs’ form players since recovering from injury in October and if he can make every defender’s life as difficult as he made Evra’s, the 26-year-old could be an outside bet to make Roy Hodgson’s England World Cup squad.
