Many believe Benatia has been the best defender in Serie A this season. The Moroccan is actually a target for Manchester United as well, but Liverpool may be at an advantage as they will be able to offer the defender Champions League football next term. Only Martin Skrtel has scored more goals from central defence in the whole of Europe than Benatia this campaign.
