How Rodgers will prepare his squad for their Champions League return.
Not many would have predicted the impressive season Liverpool would have in 2013/14, with Brendan Rodgers guiding the team to second in the Premier League.
For a time it looked as if the Reds would win their first league title since 1990, but as it is a return to the Champions League after a five year absence is a great achievement.
However, Rodgers realises that competing in Europe means a bigger squad is needed and here are five players to be bought and five to be sold from Anfield this summer.
Players out
Daniel Agger
Despite being the vice-captain on Merseyside the Dane has fallen out of favour with the manager and has grown increasingly frustrated with a lack of first team game time.
With the club needing to improve defensively opportunities could become even harder to come by for Agger and he is ready to leave.
