Finally the club are looking to long-term alternatives at left-back for veteran Frenchman Patrice Evra and have long had their eye on this Saints starlet.
Still only 18-years-old Shaw has been impressing at St Mary’s for the past two years and was preferred to Chelsea’s Ashley Cole in England’s 23-man World Cup squad.
