5) Luis Felipe Scolari (Brazil)
Despite an unhappy spell in English football with Chelsea in the 2008/09 season, Brazilian coach Luis Felipe Scolari has long been a candidate for the England national team job after becoming something of a favourite with the FA – largely due to his side’s knocking the Three Lions out of three international tournaments in a row between 2002 and 2006. Still, the 65-year-old is a World Cup winner with Brazil and seems to have the know-how to guide nations through major tournaments, also taking Portugal to the final of Euro 2004. Currently in a second stint in charge of his native Brazil at this summer’s World Cup, Scolari could be available after the tournament and is well worth considering for England.
