A shock inclusion at first glance but perhaps not so much if Neville is seriously thinking about going into management.
The former Manchester United player has already announced he will be ending his time on the field at Everton at the end of the season, but after eight years at the club he certainly knows it well.
His on-field style has shown grit and resolve but whether that will be enough on Merseyside, or if he will be considered too inexperienced, only time will tell.
