Despite Real Madrid’s extravagant spending, and truly star-studded lineup, they sit behind their city rivals in La Liga – largely thanks to Simeone’s work. Atletico have to cope with regularly selling their best players, but Simeone has constructed and developed a side that could shock the footballing world and win La Liga this term.
