1. St. Louis Rams
The Rams are expected to possibly have a top-five defense this season, and it is certainly not out of the question since they have arguably the best defensive line in the NFL. They drafted Aaron Donald in the first round, and they already have Chris Long and Robert Quinn at defensive end with Michael Brockers and Kendall Langford at defensive tackle. Quinn led the NFL in sacks with 19, and Long added another 8.5. Langford and Brockers combined to add another 10.5 and also defended the run well. Donald’s addition gives the defensive line incredible depth. There are also second-year players in linebacker Alec Ogletree and safety T.J. McDonald who are ready to make the jump.
