3. Matt Schaub, Oakland Raiders
Schaub experienced his worst season by far, and he was eventually benched by the Texans as they finished with a league-worst 2-14 record. The Raiders traded a sixth-round pick for Schaub, and the former Texan is expected to start in Oakland. While he will not become a top-10 quarterback, Schaub can still be a serviceable signal caller and keep the Raiders competitive, which is all they really can do in a rebuilding year. Schaub has shown the ability to be a decent quarterback in his stint in Houston.
2. Eli Manning, New York Giants
Manning had the worst season of his career as a full-time starter, and just about the entire Giants team was a mess. They had to deal with multiple injuries, and the offensive line hardly ever gave Manning time to throw. His running backs didn’t do him any favors either. However, Manning made plenty of mistakes of his own, as demonstrated by his 27 interceptions and 69.4 passer rating. The two-time Super Bowl champion has proven to be a clutch quarterback in the past though, and the offensive line has been upgraded. Rashad Jennings’ signing should also bolster the running game, and Manning will most certainly want to respond to his doubters by coming back with a memorable season.
