Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli faces an uncertain future this summer as he is expected to leave Anfield behind.
The 24-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal, but after being snubbed by Brendan Rodgers in his latest pre-season squad, it is clear that he doesn’t figure in his plans.

It has been another difficult summer for the former Milan striker both on and off the pitch, and essentially time is running out for him to turn things around.
Here are five options that he has available to him this summer:
5. Stay and fight for his place at Liverpool
This is easier said than done given that Roberto Firmino and Christian Benteke add further competition. Balotelli isn’t likely to be given much of an opportunity again this season, so this is certainly one of the least likely options.
Whether or not Rodgers is willing to give him another chance to prove his worth remains to be seen, but he clearly didn’t respond well enough last season in a more reserved role.
