The stars that the Gunners need to challenge for the title next season.
Arsenal’s 2013/14 season will end on Saturday when they face Hull City in the FA Cup final with the chance to end what is approaching a nine year trophy drought.
Despite finishing in the Champions League places for a 17th consecutive year under the management of Arsene Wenger, it is now 10 years since they last won the Premier League.
Another fourth place finish shows how much ground the north Londoners have got to make up, although they did top the table for more days that any other team this campaign.
Therefore the Gunners are not far from mounting a serious title challenge once more and here are five players the club needs to sign to achieve that.
Serge Aurier
Despite Wenger’s best efforts it seems almost certain now that right-back Bacary Sagna will leave the Emirates Stadium and therefore a replacement is needed.
In Toulouse ace Aurier there is a ready-made alternative who has been among the best performers in Ligue 1 this term.
The 21 year-old scored six league goals and provided six assists for his side this season and brings a good mixture of defensive reliability and attacking flair.
