Karim Benzema
As good as Olivier Giroud has been this season – and he has emerged as the first choice forward for France too – Nicklas Bendtner is not of the requisite quality to compete for the striker position at Arsenal.
A better attacker seems like a necessity for the January transfer window, and the Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid star Karim Benzema, who appears out of confidence at Emirates Stadium.
Benzema hasn’t scored in La Liga since August, despite a brace in the UEFA Champions League against Galatasaray, and breaking his 1224 minute goal drought for France in the last international break.
Still, on his day he is a quite brilliant forward, capable of striking the ball with either foot, and impressive in build up play.
If Arsene Wenger could add call upon both French international attackers, the Gunners would be a significant threat.
