The five nominees for the Premier League Young Player of the Year award were Eden Hazard, Daniel Sturridge, Raheem Sterling, Luke Shaw and Ross Barkley.
These five stars though we’ve collated have similarly enjoyed excellent seasons, and few eyelids would have been batted should they have been included in the list instead of either Shaw, Sterling or Barkley…
5) Fabian Delph – Aston Villa
Delph has been the shining light in Aston Villa’s season. He put in the performance of his career so far against Chelsea, earning Villa a 1-0 win against the title contenders with a beautiful flicked finish. He can pass and win back possession, but mostly enjoys making barnstorming runs through the center of the park.
