Much has been made of the fact that the team have limited resources in both defence and upfront and whilst this may be true, less is made of the dearth of talent in the middle of the park.
Wenger has no fewer than 14 midfield players at his disposal, starting with the defensively resolute such as Mathieu Flamini, right up to the attack-minded souls like Lukas Podolski.
Take away long-term injury absentees Abou Diaby and Theo Walcott and the unproven youngster Ryo Miyaichi and new signing Kim Kallstrom and that is still 10 top-class stars with title credentials.
