5. No Champions League distractions
This may seem a little pessimistic considering Arsenal are actually still in the competition, but of the four English clubs in the last-16 they have been given the least chance of progressing as they face reigning champions Bayern Munich.
They came up against the treble-winning Germans at the same stage last term and despite a resolute display were eventually eliminated.
If title rivals Manchester City and the Blues can overcome their fixtures to reach the quarter-finals, the exit of Wenger’s men (if it happens) could be a blessing in disguise for the final run-in.
